Team

RACER Studio is led by a tight team of creatives that have a wealth of subject matter experience developed over years of collaborating with some of top motorsports and automotive organizations.

Paul Pfanner, Founder, President & CEO

Paul learned at a young age that if you can fake credentials to get into races, good things happen to you. As a result, he started his career in media from his parents garage. A habitual early riser, he says that he’s working, but he’s really playing with his slot cars.

CJ Olivares, President, RACER Network

CJ, a 35-year c-suite media executive and the founder of FUEL TV, is a highly respected leader with a proven ability to successfully build and operate digital and linear media businesses, develop compelling programming, and nurture relevant brands. CJ provides RACER with a blend of strategic and operational expertise that drives transformative growth across multiple business lines. CJ splits his time between Los Angeles and Indianapolis serving the businesses west and east HQs and getting his golf handicap to a single digit.

Laurence Foster, Editor-in-Chief

Laurence gave up a career in aeronautical engineering to pursue his love of motorsports through storytelling and never looked back. He’s from Yorkshire and his favorite football club is Hull City. He’ll thank you to not remind him they aren’t currently in the Premier League.

George Tamayo, Creative Director

George traces his love affair with motorsport to when he first heard about a guy called Clay Reggazoni driving a Ferrari. Since then, it’s been the visceral elements of racing that continue to inspire his creativity. He’s also often riding a bike. Claims it’s where he does his best thinking.
